Soccer Recap: Floyd Central Takes a Loss

Floyd Central managed to keep up with Castle until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Highlanders lost 3-0 to the Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Floyd Central of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Floyd Central has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6-1 record this season. As for Castle, their win bumped their record up to 9-2-1.

When Floyd Central and Castle next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Highlanders will try to stop Columbus East's three-game winning streak when they meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Castle will challenge Evansville Reitz and their three-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
