Basketball Recap: Rose Leadership Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Advanced Tech Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rose Leadership Academy). They wrapped up 2024 with a 75-61 victory over the Advanced Tech Academy Lakers. The win was all the more spectacular given Rose Leadership Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Advanced Tech Academy is ranked 121st).

Rose Leadership Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Advanced Tech Academy, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rose Leadership Academy will venture away from home to take on University Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
