After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Good Hope finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of the West Morgan Rebels by a score of 1-0. The Raiders' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Good Hope's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 16-9-1. As for West Morgan, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-19-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Good Hope will square off against Danville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
