Basketball Recap: Greenon Comes Up Short

Greenon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-32 loss at the hands of the Newton Local Indians. The Knights were down 54-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Greenon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Newton Local, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Coming up, Greenon will be playing at home against Lehman Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.89 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Newton Local, they will challenge National Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
