Basketball Recap: Westville Piles Up the Points Against Tri-Township

With a playoff win on the line, Westville rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tri-Township Tigers 63-25. The Blackhawks not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 23rd.

It was another big night for Brian Jackson, who went 5-for-6 on his way to 17 points. He has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more points the last 20 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dillon Walpole, who posted 12 points and five boards.

Westville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

The win was the third in a row for Westville, bringing their record for this year to 14-9. As for Tri-Township, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Westville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-61 defeat against Kouts on the 7th. Tri-Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
