Baseball Recap: Making Waves Academy Comes Up Short

Making Waves Academy and Summerfield Waldorf squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Making Waves Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 15-7.

Making Waves Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Felipe Gonzalez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Gonzalez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another was Juan Gomez, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Making Waves Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8-1. As for Summerfield Waldorf, their record now sits at 6-4.

Making Waves Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summerfield Waldorf, they will square off against Sonoma Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Coyotes have averaged an impressive 11.3 runs per game this season.
