Soccer Game Preview: Gonzales vs. North Monterey County

The Gonzales Spartans will square off against the North Monterey County Condors at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Gonzales is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Soledad onto the board and left with a 6-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Soledad with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jorge Uribe (2), Edgar Santiago (2), Jose Camacho, and Ulisses Mancillas.

Meanwhile, everything went North Monterey County's way against Monte Vista Christian on Friday as North Monterey County made off with a 3-0 victory.

Gonzales' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five matchups. As for North Monterey County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
