Genoa-Kingston was the 2-0 winner over Stillman Valley when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Cogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Tuesday. The Cogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Genoa-Kingston ultimately came up short, they really made Stillman Valley work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21.

Genoa-Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Stillman Valley, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Genoa-Kingston is set to take on their familiar foe Dixon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Stillman Valley will face off against rival Oregon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
