Belen extended their postseason success on Thursday against Los Alamos. They put the hurt on the Hilltoppers with a sharp 16-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won 11 games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Lorissa Scott made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Belen got a massive performance out of Araceli Franco, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave Franco a new career-high.
