Basketball Game Preview: Sterling City Eagles vs. Sonora Broncos

The Sterling City Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Sonora Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sterling City came up short against Christoval on Friday, falling 48-22. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 608th, while the Cougars are ranked 122nd).

Meanwhile, Sonora ended up a good deal behind Ozona on Friday and lost 46-29. The Broncos have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Sonora's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Sterling City, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.

Sterling City came up short against Sonora when the teams last played on January 3rd, falling 32-26. Can Sterling City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
