Baseball Recap: Smoky Hill Takes a Loss

Smoky Hill's tournament run continued when they took on Glenwood Springs on Thursday. The Buffaloes fell 10-6 to the Demons.

Smoky Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Roth, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Max Goodrich, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Smoky Hill has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Glenwood Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Smoky Hill and Glenwood Springs will both be playing Montezuma-Cortez the next time they take the field. The Buffaloes will head out to face the Panthers at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Demons will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
