Recap: Alisal Trojans vs. Sequoia Ravens

The Alisal Trojans waltzed into Thursday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 68-58 victory over Sequoia. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Alisal's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adrian Cardenas, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Another player making a difference was Gregory Cabrera, who scored 22 points along with 3 steals.

Alisal's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Sequoia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Alisal will head out on the road to face off against Santa Teresa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Teresa knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Alisal likes a good challenge. As for Sequoia, they will be playing at home against South San Francisco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South San Francisco has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
