Softball Game Preview: Firebaugh Falcons vs. Fremont Pathfinders

The Firebaugh Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Fremont Pathfinders at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Firebaugh has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Firebaugh faced off against Glenn on Saturday. Firebaugh lost 12-2 to Glenn. The Falcons have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Valeria Valdivia was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Valdivia is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Fremont never got on the board in their matchup back in February, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Diego Rivera two weeks ago. They blew past the Huskies 20-8. The win continues a trend for the Pathfinders in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won four in a row.

Firebaugh now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Fremont, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
