Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Christian Extends Road Winning Streak to Ten

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Hillcrest Christian's strategy against Porter's Chapel Academy on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Hillcrest Christian Cougars blew the Porter's Chapel Academy Eagles out of the water with a 60-22 final score. With the Cougars ahead 35-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Hillcrest Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darius Barnes, who posted 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those four steals gave Barnes a new career-high. Jordan Johnson was another key player, going 5 for 6 on his way to 11 points.

Hillcrest Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in ten consecutive games.
