Softball Recap: Eunice Takes a Loss

Eunice managed to slip by Jal the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cardinals lost 13-3 to the Panthers on Tuesday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Rylee Dillard and Isabella Pierce did some serious damage despite the final result: Dillard went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs, while Pierce went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Eunice's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Jal, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Eunice will challenge Loving at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jal, they will be playing at home against Da Vinci at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
