Soccer Recap: Seffner Christian Plays to a Tie

For the first time since back in November, Seffner Christian was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. Neither they nor the Tampa Catholic Crusaders could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Seffner Christian's goal came courtesy of Brayden Edgemon, which was the first he's scored this season.

With that draw, Seffner Christian's record moves to 3-7-2. Meanwhile, Tampa Catholic's record is now 3-8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian will have to wait a while for a more definitive result, as their next game is a ways away: they'll take on Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Seffner Christian's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. Tampa Catholic also won't see the pitch for a while: their next match is against Wiregrass Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
