Recap: Whites Creek Cobras vs. McGavock Raiders
Even though the Whites Creek Cobras have not done well against the McGavock Raiders recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Whites Creek walked away with a 48-39 win over McGavock. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Whites Creek.
Whites Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rickiya Rawlings out in front who scored 18 points. The matchup was Rawlings' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Moriah Plattner, who scored 13 points.
Whites Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for McGavock, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1.
Whites Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Hume-Fogg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hume-Fogg is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for McGavock, they will head out on the road to face off against Stratford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
