Basketball Game Preview: Jackson County Blue Devils vs. Jo Byrns Red Devils + How To Watch

The Jackson County Blue Devils will be taking part in a tournament against the Jo Byrns Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jackson County has five straight wins, Jo Byrns has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Jackson County will bounce into Friday's game after beating Pickett County, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 60-51 on Monday.

Jackson County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jalynn Meadows out in front who shot 64% from the field on her way to 23 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Meadows' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Claire Williams was another key player, going 6-for-14 to rack up 16 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Jo Byrns lost to Merrol Hyde Magnet on the road by a 47-32 margin on Saturday.

Jo Byrns' loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Jackson County, their win bumped their record up to 20-9.
