Basketball Game Preview: Apex Friendship Patriots vs. Green Level Gators

Apex Friendship hasn't had much luck against Green Level recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Apex Friendship Patriots will face off against the Green Level Gators at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Apex Friendship was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cary on Tuesday. Apex Friendship put the hurt on Cary with a sharp 64-44 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Patriots have posted since January 7th.

Meanwhile, Green Level entered their tilt with Middle Creek on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 70-38. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 135th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Apex Friendship's record now sits at 15-8. As for Green Level, their record now sits at 19-4.

Apex Friendship came up short against Green Level when the teams last played on Wednesday, falling 66-55. Can Apex Friendship avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
