Volleyball Recap: Country Christian Gets the Win + How To Watch

Country Christian lost to Mohawk back in September of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cougars came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 19-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Mohawk had strong showings from Amelia Mars, who had 24 digs and two aces, and Hayven Croce, who had 21 digs and one assist. Mars is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Maya Chanely also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Country Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Mohawk, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4-1.

Coincidentally, Country Christian and Mohawk will both be playing Damascus Christian the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will host the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
