Football Recap: Steele Canyon Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Steele Canyon had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They really took it to the Monte Vista Monarchs for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-0 win. The Cougars pushed the score to 37-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Monarchs had no chance of recovering from.

This is the second loss in a row for Monte Vista and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Steele Canyon will challenge Ramona at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monte Vista, they will head out to face off against El Capitan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
