Heritage had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Bayside Bears by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won nine matchups in a row.

Heritage walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 21-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Bayside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Adison Carter had three digs and two aces. Carter has been hot recently, having also posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Bayside, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-17.

Looking ahead, Heritage will square off against Viera at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bayside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
