Baseball Recap: Tunkhannock Takes a Loss

Tunkhannock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Northwest Area Rangers, falling 14-4.

Tunkhannock saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Dominick, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Dominick has hit this season.

Tunkhannock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Northwest Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tunkhannock will challenge Mountain View at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.88 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Northwest Area, they will take on Bucktail at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rangers are facing the Bucks at the right time seeing as the Bucks are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
