Basketball Recap: Houghton Lake Takes a Loss

Houghton Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 51-27 to the Pine River Area Bucks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-30 back in December of 2024.

Houghton Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Pine River Area, their record is now 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houghton Lake will face off against Tawas Area at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pine River Area, they will challenge Brethren at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
