Bessemer Academy has gone 7-1 against Banks Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bessemer Academy Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Banks Academy Jets at 6:00 p.m. Bessemer Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Back in December of 2024, Bessemer Academy earned a 71-58 win over Fort Dale Academy. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Eagles are ranked 232nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bessemer Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Thompson, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 16 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Brister, who posted 11 points and six assists.

Bessemer Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 22 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Banks Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 55-47 victory over Edgewood Academy on Friday.

Bessemer Academy's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Banks Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Bessemer Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Banks Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 67-62 win.
