Softball Recap: Troy Comes Up Short

Troy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Esperanza Aztecs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aztecs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-2 back in March.

Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Esperanza, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Troy is set to take on their familiar foe Foothill at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Esperanza will square off against rival Sunny Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
