It was a good run, but Union Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brookfield East Spartans. The shutout was out of character for Union Grove seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Union Grove's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Brookfield East, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Union Grove and Brookfield East should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Broncos will square off against Badger at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (31 vs. 92). Meanwhile, Brookfield East (ranked fourth) will meet Kettle Moraine (ranked 29th) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Brookfield East have won four straight at home, while Kettle Moraine won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
