Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Saint James walked away with it. They beat the Providence Christian Eagles on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-3. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Saint James, bringing their record up to 22-10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Providence Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Saint James beat the Eagles by a score of 9-3 on Saturday.
