Bret Harte won the last time they faced Calaveras and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bullfrogs came out on top against the Red Hawks by a score of 9-6. That's two games straight that the Bullfrogs have won by exactly three runs.

Jack Trent was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Trent was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Trent wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Landon Camacho, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Bret Harte has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Calaveras, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Coming up, Bret Harte is taking a road trip to challenge Linden at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Bullfrogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calaveras, they will host Summerville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
