The Coshocton Redskins had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 63-56 win over Morgan. Given Coshocton's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while Morgan is ranked 566th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Colton Conkle was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten assists. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Antwone Johns, who scored eight points.
Coshocton pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points per game. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coshocton will challenge Philo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Morgan, they will head out on the road to challenge John Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
