Keene is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Brattleboro. The Blackbirds blew past the Bears 10-1. The result was nothing new for the Blackbirds, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Watson Ferguson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Colin Tinnin was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden French, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Keene always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brattleboro only posted an OBP of .344.

The win snapped Keene's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for Brattleboro, their record now sits at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keene will head out to square off against Alvirne at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blackbirds are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Brattleboro, they are taking a road trip to challenge Burr & Burton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
