Saranac Lake had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Northern Adirondack on Thursday. The Red Storm were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bobcats. The win continues a trend for the Red Storm in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Saranac Lake took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-10.

Kasey Clark paced Saranac Lake's offense, picking up seven kills. Clark got some help from Sophie Czadzeck and her 21 assists. Czadzeck also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Gracen Foster, each putting up four.

Northern Adirondack's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Allison LaPoint, who had nine digs and two aces, and Kendel Chapple, who had ten digs.

Saranac Lake's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Northern Adirondack, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, Saranac Lake and Northern Adirondack will both be playing Beekmantown the next time they take the court. The Red Storm will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
