Football Game Preview: Guyer Wildcats vs. Hebron Hawks + How To Watch

Guyer has gone a perfect 5-0 against Hebron recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Guyer strolled past Coppell with points to spare, taking the game 35-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

It was another big night for Kaedyn Cobbs, who rushed for 176 yards and four TDs, and also threw for 44 yards and one touchdown. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 114 rushing yards per game. Carter Morgan was another key player, gaining 127 total yards.

Guyer's run defense was locked in: Coppell could only muster 1.3 yards per carry. While seven picked up at least one total tackle, Cobbs stood above the rest. He rushed for 176 yards and four scores, and also threw for 44 yards and one touchdown. Guyer's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.1.

Guyer's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Coppell's QB won't forget Zane Rowe anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Cowboys' side was Khyren Haywood, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hebron). They walked away with a 49-42 victory over Marcus on Friday. The game was the first time the Hawks have beaten the Marauders on their field since October 13, 2017.

Guyer now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hebron, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Everything went Guyer's way against Hebron when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Guyer made off with a 35-10 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
