Football Recap: Middle Creek's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games + How To Watch

Middle Creek and Watauga squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Middle Creek had to settle for second. They lost 47-25 to the Pioneers. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.

Middle Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nicolas Bocciardi, who picked up 143 receiving yards and one TD. Bocciardi showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 57 yards. Middle Creek also got help from Tracy Harrington Jr, who showed off his sure hands for 87 receiving yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Watauga to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cade Keller, who threw for 277 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards. Matthew Leon was another key player, rushing for 78 yards and one score.

Middle Creek moved to 11-3 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Watauga, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
