Baseball Recap: Kennedy Wins Going Away Against Deer Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clayton Valley Charter, Kennedy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 16-2 margin over the Deer Valley Wolverines. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won three matchups by 14 runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Nolan Francis, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Hunter Padilla was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The victory got Kennedy back to even at 4-4. As for Deer Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coming up, Kennedy will face off against Concord at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Concord's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Kennedy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Deer Valley, they will take on Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on March 27th.
