Basketball Recap: Washburn Takes a Loss

If Washburn was riding high fresh off their 83-31 takedown of Mandaree last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Washburn Cardinals fell 54-47 to the Garrison Troopers on Tuesday. The Cardinals have struggled against the Troopers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Washburn's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Garrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Washburn Cardinals challenge the North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Garrison, they will face off against White Shield at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
