Basketball Preview: Rolla Pirates vs. Fellowship Baptist Academy Falcons
The Rolla Pirates's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Fellowship Baptist Academy Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Rolla focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Thursday.
Last Thursday, Rolla took a serious blow against the Wildcats, falling 55-25. Rolla was down 48-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Rolla's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gabriella Bolin, who scored four points along with five rebounds, and Yareli Cruz who scored no points.
Rolla struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Fellowship Baptist Academy entered their tilt with the Panthers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Fellowship Baptist Academy walked away with a 42-34 victory over the Panthers last Friday. Given Fellowship Baptist Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Panthers are ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rolla's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Fellowship Baptist Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
