Basketball Game Preview: GV Christian Guardians vs. Virgin Valley Bulldogs

The GV Christian Guardians will square off against the Virgin Valley Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

GV Christian is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Wednesday. They blew past Cristo Rey St. Viator 56-11. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-4.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead GV Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dean Cootware, who posted seven points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those five steals gave Cootware a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wake Rolwing, who scored ten points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Virgin Valley beat Lowry 62-54 on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Buckaroos: they've now won three in a row.
