Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian lost against John Milledge Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Crusaders fell 56-43 to the Trojans. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

John Milledge Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Elliott led the charge by going 6-for-15 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Elliott a new career-high. Bryce McDonel was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for John Milledge Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Trinity Christian will challenge Twiggs County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders will be up against the Cobras' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for John Milledge Academy, they will take on Bulloch Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
