Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colonial Forge). They claimed a resounding 62-26 win over the Forest Park Bruins. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Bruins are ranked 346th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Colonial Forge pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Forest Park, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colonial Forge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Riverbend at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Forest Park, they will venture away from home to face off against Charles J. Colgan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
