Baseball Recap: Niceville Drops Season-High Score on Pine Forest

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Niceville). Everything went their way against Pine Forest on Thursday as Niceville made off with a 22-0 win. The victory was nothing new for Niceville as they're now sitting on three straight.

Landon Hawkins looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Niceville got a massive performance out of CJ Bolden, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Marquardt, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Niceville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Niceville's record is now 17-3. As for Pine Forest, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Niceville will take on Pace at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Forest, they will challenge Fort Walton Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Forest is facing Fort Walton Beach at the right time seeing as Fort Walton Beach is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
