Softball Game Preview: DuQuoin Indians vs. Trico Pioneers

DuQuoin is on a ten-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Trico a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The DuQuoin Indians will welcome the Trico Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

DuQuoin had taken Harrisburg down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Indians came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-3.

McKenzie Eaton was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Lucy Milam was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double.

Meanwhile, Trico fell victim to Pinckneyville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Pioneers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Trico now has a losing record of 2-3. As for DuQuoin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
