Templeton is 9-1 against Orcutt Academy since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will face off against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Templeton will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Templeton made easy work of Atascadero and carried off a 16-1 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

Bailey Fiorenza was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Tegan Jay looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Aislyn Vogt was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Emma Marquart was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Templeton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Orcutt Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-0 to Pioneer Valley. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Spartans haven't been shut out since back in March.
Templeton pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Orcutt Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1.
Templeton took their win against Orcutt Academy in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
