Softball Game Preview: Catalina Trojans vs. St. Augustine Catholic Wolves

Catalina is 0-10 against St. Augustine Catholic since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Wolves at 3:45 p.m. St. Augustine Catholic took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Catalina, who comes in off a win.

Catalina headed into their last contest having not scored more than two runs for five straight, but Palo Verde let them put that streak behind them. The Trojans put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 24-3 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

St. Augustine Catholic played against Tombstone on Thursday and lost via forfeit.

St. Augustine Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Catalina, their victory bumped their record up to 2-13.

Catalina might still be hurting after the 17-2 loss they got from St. Augustine Catholic when the teams last played back in March. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
