Softball Recap: Crosby-Ironton Drops Season-High Score on Marshall

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crosby-Ironton). They came out on top against the Marshall Hilltoppers by a score of 19-16 on Wednesday. For the Rangers, this counts as revenge for the 14-6 victory the Hilltoppers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

With the win, Crosby-Ironton broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7. As for Marshall, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Crosby-Ironton will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Pine City at 4:30 p.m. As for Marshall, they will head out on the road to square off against Superior at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
