Softball Game Preview: Green Sea Floyds Trojans vs. Lake View Wild Gators

Green Sea Floyds hasn't had much luck against Lake View recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Wild Gators at 6:00 p.m. The last three games Green Sea Floyds has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Green Sea Floyds is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since March 7th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Carvers Bay by a score of 4-2.

Kalleigh Wilhelm made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Ali Elliott was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Lake View was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against Hannah-Pamplico, falling 13-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wild Gators have suffered since March 26, 2024.

Lake View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Green Sea Floyds, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Green Sea Floyds beat Lake View 4-0 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
