Basketball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waynesboro Indians. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Thundering Herd came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Indians are ranked 296th).

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Waynesboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Carlisle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waynesboro, they will take on Chambersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Chambersburg sitting on six straight victories and Waynesboro on seven.
