Baseball Recap: Indian Lake Gets the Win

Indian Lake won the last time they faced Benjamin Logan and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lakers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lakers.

Jackson Snipes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Indian Lake is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 6-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Indian Lake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolton Cummins, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits Cummins has posted since back in April. Chance Persinger also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Indian Lake's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Benjamin Logan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Coming up, Indian Lake will venture away from home to face off against Tecumseh at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Benjamin Logan, they will square off against Jonathan Alder at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
