Baseball Game Preview: Camarillo Scorpions vs. Oak Park Eagles

For the second straight game, Camarillo will face off against Oak Park. The Scorpions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Camarillo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Oak Park a 13-0 shutout on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Scorpions considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Andrew Aragon tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Grant Tsuji was a standout: he went 4-for-6 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Blaise Meylemans, who went 3-for-6 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Camarillo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.4.

With the victory, Camarillo broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-16. As for Oak Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14-1.
