Soccer Game Preview: Gloucester vs. Kecoughtan

Gloucester is on a nine-game streak of home wins, while Kecoughtan is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dukes will host the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Gloucester's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Phoebus 5-0. The victory continues a trend for Gloucester in their matchups with Phoebus: they've now won nine in a row.

Gloucester hit Phoebus with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from KJ Wolford (2), Marek Barnett, Ryan Williams, and Corey Skay.

Meanwhile, Kecoughtan's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Poquoson. Five seems to be a good number for Kecoughtan as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Kecoughtan's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Gloucester, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
